Dr. Danilo Costarelli

Danilo Costarelli was born in Perugia, Italy, in September 29, 1986. He received the Degree in Mathematics from the University of Perugia, Italy, in July 2010. On February 26, 2014 he obtained the Ph.D. in Mathematics at "Roma Tre" University, Rome, Italy, with the thesis: "Sigmoidal functions approximation and applications", advisor Prof. Renato Spigler. Since December 2014, Dr. Costarelli has been a Post-Doc in Mathematical Analysis with the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Perugia. His main research interests are in functional analysis, approximation theory with applications in signal and image processing. Moreover, he is also interested to the theory of neural networks activated by sigmoidal functions and their applications to numerical and applied problems. Finally, Dr. Costarelli has been referee for several international scientific journals with high impact and he has partecipated to many research project. From November 2016, he became a member of the Editorial Board of the "Journal of NeuroTechnology".
