Stability of Additive and a Generalized Quadratic Functional Equations in Banach Spaces

Abstract

In this research article, we investigate the Hyers-Ulam stability of additive and generalized quadratic type functional equation f(x + ay) + af(x − y) = f(x − ay) + af(x + y) for a ∈ Z \ {−1, 0, 1} and x, y ∈ X × X, where f : X × X → Y , (X, ∥·, ·∥) is a 2-normed space and (Y, ∥ · ∥) is a Banach space.
